Well…it’s not really a match-making service, but it’s a damn good search tool built with your needs in mind!

Launching: MITIGATE AI Search
Last year we launched MITIGATE, our sister database to MEASURE, helping connect companies with partners who can help them reduce their impact. Since then the importance of reducing your brand's impact is ever more present, with increasing impacts of climate change, consumer demand and regulation.
MITIGATE has had a (AI) makeover with our new generative AI search bar thanks to the pro bono work of Steve Isley, making it easier than ever for your brand to find the help it needs to take action on its impact. No more filtering tables (we think sustainability professionals spend enough time in front of spreadsheets) just searching for exactly the partner you’re looking for.
Reintroducing Mitigate (speed dating style)
In case you need a refresher, MITIGATE is our FTF produced industry guide to 200 partners, all who work with consumer brands to reduce their negative environmental impact, from packaging and logistics, to web design, employee engagement and beyond.
What’s the aim of MITIGATE? To help reduce the barriers to your brand mitigating its impact, so your brand and the industry as a whole can collectively reach your/their sustainability targets in time for the planet.
What sets Mitigate apart? With an overwhelming number of companies dedicated to helping brands reduce their impact we exclusively focus on companies that have previously worked with consumer goods brands. Meaning their services are more likely to be applicable and impactful to your company. As well as this focus, for each partner we have painstakingly documented and categorised their:
Type of Partner (Whether they offer a product, tool, consultancy service etc.)
Your Product Type (That the partners have previously worked with)
Target Area of Operations (What aspect of your company’s operations can they support you with?)
Primary Mitigation Goal (What effect can this partner have on a brand’s environmental impact?)

NEW AI Search Feature
Previously you could manually filter MITIGATE parameters to find the partner that could help a consumer brand of your type meet your specific mitigation requirements and area of operations.
But we knew we could do better. With the help of our friends generative AI and Steve Isley. Steve is a generative AI and sustainability consultant with an impressive multi-disciplinary background ranging from startup entrepreneurship, software development, qualitative and quantitative research methods, a PhD in policy analysis, and an MS & BS in engineering.
Now you can search for the perfect partner by asking a question or stating what outcome you want to achieve. Specifically the search will return the top 20 match partners one liners, contact details (website and LinkedIn links), sustainability focus, consumer brands they’ve worked with as well as the AI generated quality of match ranging from good (green) to ok (orange).
What should I search for?
Anything you want but some example searches we based our prompt engineering around include:

The AI Solution
What is the AI search trying to achieve?
The search bar has two aims, both feeding into the overall aim of mitigating the impact of brands in the consumer goods industry:
Help make it easier for brands to navigate the MITIGATE database to find the partner they’re looking for to reduce barriers to action.
Increase use of MITIGATE databases that took years to create by volunteer sustainability professionals.
Things to Note
As with any generative AI, it can make mistakes.
Partner responses are limited to 20 but the full database can still be accessed here.
AI search is slower than regular search, and the speed depends on the underlying AI service, which can vary by time of day and day of week.
Environmental Impact of AI
We understand that generative AI, like all technologies, comes with an environmental impact, and it's something we take seriously.
